Pull Me Apart is a nature-inspired interactive sketchbook by artist Heather Clements where you can change and discover the artwork hidden behind pull tabs, flaps, wheels and more.

The Standard Edition of Pull Me Apart is an 8″ x 10″ hardcover book with eighteen pages of interactive artwork. The book will have a combination of die and laser cutting on heavy weight uncoated paper.  Of the nine double page spreads in the book, three of them span both pages on their spreads, while the rest are their own individual pieces of movable art.

This is a unique project for Poposition Press as there are no pop ups in it at all, in fact everything in Pull Me Apart is what’s known simply as a movable – including multiple pull tabs, rotating wheels, lift-flaps and more.

About the Artist

Heather Clements is an artist and muralist based in Asheville, North Carolina, who creates artwork that explores the interdependent relationship between humans and nature. Her work combines realistic portraiture with expressive graphic elements and abstractions to create a unique style that aims to inspire a deeper connection with the natural world. She aims to promote sustainable practices and improve mental health by fostering a deeper connection with nature. Over the years, Heather has also owned and operated an art gallery/venue space and worked as an exhibitions manager for the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida. Her award-winning artwork has been featured in galleries and museums across the United States.
